AThetaLife.com provides tools for visualizing, exploring and planning across personal timelines and longer-term conditions that may affect the years ahead.

Personal Planning Information

AThetaLife includes tools that allow you to enter, create and save information for your own planning use. Depending on which features you use, this information may include:

• your name and date of birth;
• lifespan-calculator responses and results;
• timeline selections, dates and settings;
• saved and active timelines;
• career, family and retirement-planning information;
• Navigation Check responses and results;
• timeline notes and other information you choose to record within AThetaLife planning tools.

Local Browser Storage

In the current AThetaLife MVP, personal planning information used by AThetaLife tools is generally stored locally in your web browser using localStorage.

AThetaLife does not currently maintain a central account database containing this personal planning information.

This means information such as saved timelines, calculator results and notes ordinarily remains associated with the browser and device on which you created it unless you remove that browser data.

Website Analytics

AThetaLife uses website analytics services to understand general site usage, identify technical problems and improve site performance and the visitor experience.

Google Analytics

AThetaLife uses Google Analytics. Google Analytics may collect and process technical and usage information such as session statistics, pages or events viewed, approximate geographic information, browser information, device information, operating system information and related website-usage data.

Google Analytics information is separate from the personal planning information that AThetaLife stores locally in your browser. AThetaLife does not intentionally send your lifespan-calculator answers, saved timeline notes or other personal planning entries to Google Analytics.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

AThetaLife also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand website traffic and page performance. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as a privacy-focused analytics service that does not track individual visitors across websites and does not collect visitors' personal data for Web Analytics.

Cloudflare Web Analytics may process limited technical and performance information needed to measure website traffic and page performance.

How We Use Information

Information associated with AThetaLife may be used to:

• generate and display your selected AThetaLife planning experiences;
• preserve locally saved information between browser sessions;
• operate, maintain and improve website functionality;
• understand general website usage and performance;
• identify technical problems and improve the visitor experience.

Selling and Sharing of Personal Planning Data

AThetaLife does not sell your personal planning information.

Because personal planning information is currently stored locally in your browser rather than in an AThetaLife account database, AThetaLife ordinarily does not have access to that information.

Website analytics information may be processed by the analytics service providers described above according to their applicable terms, privacy practices and technical configurations.

Your Control

You control whether to provide information to AThetaLife planning tools.

• You may choose not to enter optional personal information.
• You may delete individual information where an AThetaLife feature provides a delete or clear control.
• You may remove locally stored AThetaLife data by clearing AThetaLife site data or browser storage through your browser settings.
• Clearing browser storage, changing browsers, changing devices or using certain private-browsing settings may cause locally saved AThetaLife information to be lost.

Security

AThetaLife uses HTTPS and reasonable website security practices intended to protect the site during transmission and operation.

Personal planning information stored locally in your browser is also dependent on the security of your device, browser and user account. No website, browser-storage system or Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Third-Party Services

AThetaLife currently uses third-party services including Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics. These providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

AThetaLife may use additional service providers in the future as the website develops. This Privacy Policy will be updated when a material change in AThetaLife's data practices requires additional disclosure.

Observatory Content

The AThetaLife Observatory provides informational material concerning long-term conditions and evidence reports. Viewing Observatory content does not require you to provide personal planning information beyond information normally associated with general website analytics and technical site operation.

Future Accounts and Cloud Features

AThetaLife may later introduce user accounts, membership systems, cloud synchronization, online storage, payment services or other features that require information to be transmitted to and stored by AThetaLife or its service providers.

If such features are introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe the information collected, its purpose, storage, relevant service providers and available user controls before or in connection with those material changes.

Children's Privacy

AThetaLife is intended for users age 16 and older and is not directed to children.

AThetaLife does not currently operate a central user-account database for personal planning information and does not knowingly seek personal information from children through such an account system.

If AThetaLife learns that information has been collected in a manner requiring removal or other action under applicable children's privacy requirements, AThetaLife will take reasonable steps to address the matter.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

AThetaLife may update this Privacy Policy as the website, services, technology or legal requirements change.

When material changes are made, the effective date shown at the top of this page will be revised.
